Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Moldboxer handles account information, billing information, and 3D model data, including the local-first processing safeguards used to protect customer intellectual property.
Account And Billing Information
We may collect account details, authentication data, purchase or access status, billing-related records, and limited technical information needed to operate the website, secure sessions, support purchases, and respond to support or operational issues.
Local 3D Model Processing
Moldboxer is designed around data minimization and privacy by design. Original 3D model files are processed locally on the user's device. Moldboxer does not upload, store, or process original model files on external servers, and users retain ownership and control of their original data.
Limited Server-Side Processing
For specific computational operations required to generate mold systems, Moldboxer may transmit limited derived data, such as bounding box representations and basic spatial parameters. This data does not include the original 3D model file, full-resolution geometry, or detailed shape information, and is not reasonably sufficient to reconstruct the original model.
Retention And Secondary Use
Transmitted derived model data is processed transiently, is not persistently stored, and is automatically discarded after processing. Derived model data is not used for analytics, profiling, or machine learning. Account and billing information is retained only as long as needed for service delivery, legal compliance, purchase records, fraud prevention, and legitimate operational needs.
Data Sharing And Subprocessors
Moldboxer does not sell customer data. Limited third-party services are used strictly for essential functionality, including Google OAuth for authentication and Stripe for payment processing.
Security Measures
Data transmissions are encrypted using industry-standard secure protocols such as TLS. Moldboxer systems are designed to minimize exposure of sensitive data and to transmit only the minimum information required for the requested operation.
GDPR And Data Protection Rights
Where applicable, Moldboxer operates in accordance with data protection regulations including the GDPR. Moldboxer acts as data controller for account and billing data, while users remain data controllers of their 3D model content. No personal data is derived from 3D model processing. Users may exercise access, rectification, and deletion rights by contacting hello@moldboxer.com.
Intellectual Property Protection
Proprietary 3D model data remains under user control. External processing does not require access to full model geometry, and the limited derived data used for mold generation is designed not to expose sensitive design information.
Limitation Of Liability
Moldboxer implements safeguards to protect user data, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Moldboxer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the software or related services.
